We have two new papers on the subject of a mobile impurity in a Fermi gas. The first one, published in Physical Review A, investigates single impurity transitions in a cold atomic gas and their connection to quantum phase transitions. The second one, published the day after in Physical Review B, deals with the microscopic description of an exciton (bound electron-hole pair) in an electron gas.
